This is such a great time of the year to try making your own Halloween treats! You’ll probably already have a lot of the following items on hand already and what you don’t, is easily found in your local supermarket. Most of these Halloween recipes are easy enough so that your children can make them on their own, but some may require your assistance or supervision.

Bloody Good Popcorn
One package of microwave pop corn
paprika
Prepare the popcorn according to the package directions. Pour it into a large mixing bowl, shake some paprika on it and stir it until it turns red.
Ghoulish Punch
1/2 gallon limeade
1 liter ginger ale
1/2 gallon lime sherbet
marshmellows
maraschino cherries
Mix the limeade and ginger ale together. Scoop the sherbert and add it into the mixture. Add the marshmallows and maraschino cherries to float in punch.
Creepy Spiders
Two round crackers
Smooth peanut butter
Eight small pretzel sticks
Two raisins
Spread the peanut butter on one cracker and cover with the other cracker to make a sandwich. Insert eight pretzel “legs” into the side of the cracker in the peanut butter. Use a dab of peanut butter to set two raisin “eyes” on top.

Wash the celery sticks and cut each piece in half. Spread peanut butter over the entire length of the celery. Press raisins into peanut butter.
Scary Spiders
Twelve ounce package of chocolate chips
One medium size can of chow mein noodles
One package of M&M’s
Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Stir in the chow mein noodles. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Add two M&M’s for spider eyes.
