See, this sounds fun and great time to spend with the kids. My 8 year old is very creative and loves being in the kitchen. Honestly, we make lunch to get it out of the way and be ready for school. However, on weekends I can see this as fun time since we are the two "sweet tooths" of the house :) I will try this and see if I can get her into crunchy peanut butter!

Those sound good. I think the ice cream cookies would be good wrapped in saran wrap and placed in the freezer for later. Here's another favorite kid treat - frozen juice pops. In tiny (mouthwash size) paper cups pour orange juice or grape juice. When they're partially frozen put in a popsicle stick. (You can buy them at the craft store. Kids have fun peeling off the paper cup.
