Homemade Tortilla Chips

My family loves making organic chili – I’ll have to share the recipe next time we make it. I stock up on organic ground when it’s on sale and then freeze it in one pound packs. We usually buy store bought tortilla chips to go with it, but we decided to try making them this week.

Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees F. We chose to use Tomato & Basil tortillas for extra flavor, but you can use whatever you prefer. Lay the tortillas out {we used eight} and spray both sides with nonstick olive oil spray.

We stacked up a few tortillas at a time and using a pizza cutter, cut them into triangles. Then arrange them in a single layer on baking sheets.

We baked them for about 12 minutes. Start looking and testing them after about 6-7 minutes. You need to watch them so they don’t burn {like some of ours did}.

We’re still perfecting these and we’re going to use different flavor and types of tortillas next time. These are great with chili, salsa, dip or without anything at all!
