I love Panera Bread! When I moved from NYC to Florida, it was one of the few places I could get a decent bagel. I love their salads and of course, their bread is delicious.
The last time I went for lunch with my husband I ordered the Salmon Caesar Salad, which I’ve had before. Their salads are always awesome – the lettuce is crisp and fresh and the dressing is just the right amount. Not like Olive Garden, where even when I ask them to back off the dressing a little, it’s swimming in it.
My husband ordered Grilled Chicken Caesar, which is made with antibiotic-free chicken. Just like my salad, it’s made with fresh greens and asiago cheese. It’s one of his favorite things to order when we go to Panera.
I’ve been trying to lose a few pounds so I usually skip dessert, but I always bring something home for my daughter. The last time I went, I picked up one of their Chocolate Chippers, made with semi-sweet chocolat, for her. The time before that I bought a Strawberries & Cream Scone, which has white chocolate chips and strawberries in a cream based scone. The chocolate pastry was for my husband and it’s filled with semisweet chocolate bars & topped with a honey glaze.
Do you have a Panera Bread near you and do you enjoy eating there? Not only do I love the food, I like that the casual atmosphere is very welcoming. My only little tiny complaint is my local Panera stopped stocking Lipton tea bags and I don’t like the tea they carry, so I bring my own bag. It’s not a big deal, especially when I tell them I have my own tea bag, they don’t charge me for using their cup, water, milk and sugar. It’s the little things. :-)
