Andreas – I’m not sure why the recipe called for powered milk, it wasn’t my recipe originally. Maybe to save money? As fas as how much real milk to use, here’s a great source for substituting milk for powered milk and visa versa: http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/powderedmilk.htm

Nice recipes, thanks for that. What I wonder though is, why do you use ‘dry milk’ and how much would substitute that in low fat real milk ?

Agree with some of the other commenters – not just for kids! Always looking for new recipes that can go in the crock pot! Thank you for some great ideas.

I like to make tiny meatballs for spaghetti dinner, and keep about 20 for the next day’s soup. I use beef broth, chopped tomatoes (or canned), and then thinly slice cabbage and put the cabbage and meatballs in at the last minute, just barely warming them. It’s great in the winter!
